The effects of cyberbullying can be even more emotionally damaging than face-to-face bullying because it is not isolated to one location. Bullying through electronic media is 24/7 and therefore follows a student wherever they go.
The victims of cyberbullying are likely to feel a number of negative emotions including: - Anger - Distress - Frustration - Sadness - Embarrassment - Fear - Isolation - Low self-esteem - Feelings of powerlessness - Drop in academic performance - Drop in quality of relationships (friends, family) |
